Documenting the impact of AIDS

Screening this Sunday, June 3, 8.30pm on ABC2, We Were Here documents the coming of what was called the ‘gay plague’ in the early 1980s. Produced and directed by David Weissman, this illuminating feature-length documentary focuses on five people who lived in San Francisco before the AIDS epidemic, and whose lives changed in unimaginable ways once it took hold of their community.
