Head to Bomaderry

Beginning with their encounter at Palms nearly 10 years ago, it seems fate has brought entertainers Michael Emmett and Michael Coombes together. The boys have formed a cabaret group that tours the South Coast with a residency at the Bounty Motor Inn and Theatre Restaurant in Bomaderry.

Their show is a fusion of contemporary and classic popular songs, quirky comedy and passionate characterisations from some of the great modern stage shows. The Bomaderry production has been attracting the GLBT community and no doubt will do so again this summer.

The show is basically divided into three sections. Act one is all about the arrangements of classic and contemporary popular songs, including a hint of political and social satire, said Michael Emmett.

The second is divided into quirky skits and characterisations featuring a Dame Edna impersonation and the last act is a powerful life journey with songs from modern stage shows, including clever costume changes -” always a crowd-pleaser.

Their musical arrangements give a modern edge to some well-known songs and their variety captures the imagination of audiences.

We keep taking risks and pushing ourselves so the show is a fresh and original experience. The audience gets to swing, rock, laugh out loud, and hopefully find a few moments they can connect with deeply, Emmett said.

The fact that this happens in the warm, supportive environment of the Bounty away on the South Coast makes it even more special.
