This Saturday, 27 June, 202 Broadway will be officially launched.

Described as a -˜huge spectacle’ by the night’s creative director, Eric Nair, the event will feature top DJs including Mandy Rollins, Rob Nigro, Leyla, Tony Crea and Simon Caldwell.

The launch night is called Absolutely Everybody and the community is invited.

We will be introducing the venue to the social circuit, said Nair. This is a community opening. It will be transformed into a huge theatrical space and the marble bar will be used as a staging for all our three shows.

To coincide with Pride Week, a gold coin donation will be asked for upon arrival. Drag queen Natasha Knowles and drag king Hugo Retro will perform with special guests Ruedisima (Latin Dance Co) and lyrical rhyme masters Wire Mc and Choo Choo.

It will be an eclectic mix, he said. We wanted to do something that scaled across the whole spectrum of the community.

202 Broadway is also holding regular GLBT nights on Fridays and Sundays.

info: Absolutely Everybody kicks off at 8pm. 202 Broadway is on the corner of Broadway and City Rd.
