Love on the run

In The Fish Child, mysticism and epic love combine to bring us a delightful offering at this year’s Mardi Gras Film Festival. Lala is the privileged daughter of a powerful judge, in love with the family’s young maid, La Guayi. As the two prepare to run away together, Lala’s father is mysteriously murdered and La Guayi is the prime suspect.
No longer just a runaway but a fugitive, Lala soon finds herself negotiating in a world of poverty, crime and extraordinary danger, as she battles to save her lover.
