Southlight brings back 80s synth with a modern twist
AUSTRALIAN electronic music duo Southlight feature this week in the Star Observer music section, with their new track You + I slated for release next week.
Described as a cross between Cut Copy and George Michael, You + I features melodic moving bass lines, 80s synth chords, funk guitars and guest vocalist Nathan Mahon.
Both Mahon and Southlight have performed in recent Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras celebrations.
On Wednesday, April 29, they will hold a launch party at Sydney’s Polo Lounge at the Oxford Hotel, where a live performance of the song will take place.

You’re lucky. Don’t know what you did to get attention but this “newspaper” has been ignoring gay artists for years. So good for you, but the gay community is a dead end – as is this paper.
Shame – you could support gay artists. Plenty out there, as you know, but since you pretend you don’t, a quick Google search would help
