Queer choirs unite
The Canberra Gay and Lesbian Qwire and the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir will unite to perform a midyear concert, titled With A Little Help From My Friends.
The show will feature current and classic songs, including Dusty Springfield’s You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me, Duffy’s Mercy, and Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody.
The choirs have not performed together since their Heartland concerts in 2009.
The concert will be at Llewellyn Hall, William Herbert Place, Canberra on Saturday, June 16, 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketek at $25 each or $20 each for bookings of 10 or more.
