Rufus! Rufus! Rufus!

Prima Donna is Rufus Wainwright’s debut opera, the story of a great diva who has lost her voice from a broken heart.

The film, screening as part of this year’s QueerDoc film festival, takes us through the development process, the creative conflicts and Wainwright’s struggle to be taken seriously in the structured hierarchy of the classical music world.
