Active Duty at ARQ

Report for active duty this Anzac Day Eve at ARQ as the venue gets armed and ready to deploy an arsenal of music to keep you active all night long. There’ll be entertainment from Jimmy Dee, Anthony Whitlock, Sandi Hotrod, Jayson Forbes and special guest DJ Josh (Adelaide). Doors open at 2100 hours and entry is $10 before 11pm/$15 after.

ANZAC Day at Stonewall Hotel

Report for duty at Stonewall Hotel ANZAC Day from 1300 hours on ANZAC Day to see General Polly Petrie and her fit, strong and best-looking recruits in her Sexy Sailor and Army Abs competitions, with plenty of prizes and giveaways.

Uniform is requested and there will be a prize given for the best outfit. The Boys Bar Up Cadets will march along the bar with honour as DJs Dom De Sousa and Tom Pritchard hit the trenches to keep you dancing until the white flag is raised. Each year Stonewall is happy to celebrate and welcome the Army, Airforce and Navy friends on ANZAC Day, so come along and show your support to these great men and women in uniform.

ANZAC Day at The Vic

The Vic Enmore will be hosting its first ever ANZAC Day celebration with live music courtesy of Spurs For Jesus and Handsome Young Strangers, rotisserie meats, Anzac biscuits and the biggest game of 2 Up in the Inner West – hosted by Dan and Matt Rule (of The Annandale Hotel, Annandale). It’s open 10am-late.

Poof Doof Sydney Social

Melburnians have been lucky enough to enjoy the Poof Doof parties for some time, but now it’s Sydney’s turn. Potts Point’s Santa Barbara will play host to the event on ANZAC Day. Organisers plan a showcase of both Melbourne and Sydney’s finest DJs and friends in a relaxed and social space with nooks and crannys galore, designed for a lil’ dance, a lil’ drink, a lil’ dine and a lot of fun. It kicks off at 8pm.

Women in Uniform at The Imperial

Join your host Webby, for the annual Women in Uniform Party this ANZAC Day. Wear your best uniform, as prizes for best dressed will be awarded. The Impy opens at 11am and will have a $2 sausage sizzle, two-up from 1pm-6pm, live music, DJs and shows throughout the evening. There will be bucket collection of coins for community charities and all service personnel are welcome.

ANZAC Eve two-up at the GH

Two-up brings together two great GH traditions: The Classic Drag Show and Drag Bingo! This double bill has something for everyone. At 8pm bingo begins with Connie Lingus and drag legend Cherry Ripe. It’s free to play and free to win. Bookings will be essential this time, so call (03) 9534 4189 or email [email protected] to reserve your table. Over in the show room from 9pm the GH brings you The Sisters of Sequin: Nova, Sasha and Jacqui on the big stage. Shows will start from 10.30pm, and the music will pump until 1am. Special guest Art Simone promises to bring that extra wow factor. It’s free entry.

Tour of Duty at the Laird

The Laird Hotel in Collingwood is offering up four days of military-inspired fun but on Thursday it’s Spit’N’Polish with full military uniform/leather of rubber dress code. Don’t forget Saturday night for VicBears’ Combat night with DJ Nick Shepherd.
