WHAT’S ON: Arabian Knights

ARABIAN Knights is a new dance party for Sydney’s LGBTI Middle Eastern and Greek community that will have its debut on Friday, January 30.

Taking place at Q Bar on Oxford St, the night will feature Arabic, Greek and Turkish music as well as mash-ups and remixes from DJ Ray Issac.

A spectacular live zaffet drum show is also planned, to give partygoers a taste of what it’d be like to attend an Arab wedding party.

Two weeks after Arabian Knights, the longstanding Club Arak — another party with Arabic music for Sydney’s LGBTI community — will take place on February 14 at the iconic Imperial Hotel. Melbourne’s Helem group also holds regular Arabic music dance parties for the city’s LGBTI community.
