World class show
The Australian Ballet is celebrating the spirit of collaboration in their new Sydney Opera House show, Interplay.
The production has teamed up with three top choreographers -” Stephen Baynes, Nicolo Fonte and Matjash Mrozewski -” and three greats of Australia music -” Gerard Brophy, Richard Mills and Ross Edwards -” to create a triple bill exposing the powerful relationship between music and dance.
The production takes on a variety of subjects. A dreamscape of darkness, an abstract spirit journey and a Greek myth are all given life through these stimulating partnerships.
The show will premiere at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday 6 November and will continue until Tuesday 25 November. Also make sure you check out the mini-site that has been developed especially to track the whole heady process including recent choreographer blog entries, audio clips, emails and behind-the-scenes photos.
