With Sleaze Ball on this weekend it’s important to detoxify and hydrate your body before and after your partying period.

For more than 20 years the Colon Care Centre has helped detoxify many members of the GLBT community. The clinic believes that “effective detoxification always begins with hydration and restoration of healthy bowel function”, which requires regular colonic irrigations.

The procedure is harmless and appropriate for hydrating and cleansing the bowel system — vital for any purification.

If you’re suffering from constipation, incomplete evacuation or discomfort from the various varieties of digestive irregularity, you will profit from the emancipation of backed-up surplus matter from your bowels.

You’re in safe hands at the Colon Care Centre. The many qualified colon hydro-therapists who perform the colonic irrigation are using only filtered water.

“Abdominal massage is applied during the hour-long session to support the discharge and unbinding of remaining material from your colon wall,” colonic therapist and nutritionist Anna Paredes said.

“Elimination is at the root of a healthy body and mind. A colon which is infrequent and dehydrated is unable to effectively remove toxic waste from the body and soon negative effects manifest.

“With pampering and relaxation all our treatments have been designed to help you ease into letting go naturally.

“During the session approximately 25 litres of filtered water are introdu-ced into the colon, through a specifically designed sterilised, individually sealed pack of tubing, attached to a sterile, disposable speculum. You are comfortably lying on your back and covered throughout the procedure.

“Water is introduced intermittently in small amounts, hydrating whilst loosening faecal plaque and impacted faecal waste matter, aiding in elimination of toxins, gas blockages, undigested food and mucus.”

The centre offers three to four colonics in a space of three weeks but much depends on how dehydrated the bowel is.

Paredes said that they aim to clean five to six feet of large intestine from the caecum to the rectum.
“Colonics help to speed the effect you want to achieve, whether it is a liver or bowel cleanse,” she said.

“Your digestive system absorbs the vitamins, minerals and useful substances from the foods you eat. The bloodstream transports to your cells these vital nutrients for cellular survival. If your colon is overloaded, your body’s immune system functions on a lower level and encourages disease.”
