Wednesday 8 October marks International Lesbian Day and ACON will be launching its Lesbian Health Strategy to coincide with this. This strategy marks a step forward for lesbians as it is the first of its kind in NSW.

If you would like to know more about the strategy and celebrate its unveiling come to the Serpentine Art Gallery at 17a Bridge St, Lismore, on 8 October from 6pm. $5 donation entry.

This Lismore launch and the Byron Bay one will be followed by the film Itty Bitty Titty Committee.

The Byron Bay launch will be on Saturday 11 October from 4 pm at Byron Cinemas at 108 Jonson St. Tickets are $20 plus a booking fee available by ringing 6680 8555. This launch will be followed by a party at La La Land. For details ring ACON Northern Rivers.

World AIDS Day is fast approaching and if you would like to be involved in this year’s activities come to our Red Ribbon workshop on Monday 13 October. Throughout the afternoon a group will get together to make ribbons and be informed of other opportunities to be involved in World AIDS Day.

The Radical Faeries of Nimbin are holding their ninth Annual Faerie Glitterball on Saturday 1 November at Jiggi Hall via Lismore from 7pm to 2am. Entry is $20 or $10 concession.

The Radical Faeries are an institution in this area and have a variety of activities for GLBT folk happening throughout the year. For Glitterball tickets, or if you want to connect with like-minded souls, visit www.ozfaeries.com.

On Friday 7 November a sexual health workshop for women will be held in a local adult shop. Designed especially for women who have sex with women, this forum aims to provide an opportunity to discuss, learn and ask questions. Come along as it promises to be a lively activity.
