Canberra-based gender rights group A Gender Agenda this week opened a unique exhibition of artworks focused on themes of gender identity.
Gender Rights are Human Rights features work from artists including Tina Fiveash, Robyn Grafkin, Eryca Green, Stephanie Parker, Margot Seares and Ingrid Singh.
Launched on Monday November 16 at the ACT Legislative Assembly exhibition space, the exhibition of ‘political trans art’ was made possible through financial assistance from the Canberra gay and lesbian tennis club Pink Tennis.
A Gender Agenda representatives said the venue was chosen “so that all the politicians have plenty of time to admire the creativity of the sex and gender diverse community of Canberra”.
The exhibition will run from 9am-5pm daily until November 20 as part of the Canberra SpringOut Pride Festival.
