Eighties fans watch out! Spandau Ballet’s Paul Young and Tony Hadley are jet-setting into the country for an exclusive live show at the Fairfield RSL Club on Saturday 25 October.
“From all accounts, it should be a great show with both guys doing a mixture of material from their careers. These guys have made so much music since their ’80s fame,” Fairfield RSL representative Jeremy McNamara said.
“Paul is probably most well-known for his great covers including a 1983 remake of Marvin Gaye’s Love of the Common People and his other stellar hit from 1985 Every Time You Go Away.
“He also delivered the first line in the Bob Geldof Band-Aid song Do They Know its Christmas? In a career spanning nearly 30 years, Paul Young has delivered 24 singles and ten albums and continues to draw a new audience.”
Fairfield RSL has long been a western Sydney hot spot and the venue is famous for its array of international performers who perform solely on its stage.
Spandau Ballet climbed the Australian music charts back in the early ’80s with their top ten hits True and Gold. Since then, the band has gone through various changes but has reunited and is ready to impress us Aussies.
“All we promise is a fun, easy, gay-friendly and safe night out. The door-to-door service is something unique and new that we’d like to do more often,” McNamara said.
“The Club is NSW’s award-winning boutique club and is very different from what many people expect of an RSL club. I suggest that people get their friends together and book a seat to visit us at the Club for this great show. It will be true gold.”
