Performances by DIVA Hall of Fame inductee Mitzi Macintosh, singer Natalie Colavito and a set by Ministry of Sound DJ Paul Johnson were the highlights of Arq’s ninth birthday celebrations.

Special guests were treated to a few hours of mingling and entertainment before Macintosh, on behalf on Arq owner Shadd Danesi, thanked the crowd for its support of the superclub.

Once the official bits were out of the way, the doors were opened up and the public filled the club for one of the venue’s best Sunday nights on record.

Johnson was joined by a string of local DJs including Arq’s Jimmy Dee, Sandi Hotrod, Luke Leal and Justin Scott.

Danesi is now devoting all his time to putting the final touches on the Imperial Hotel in Erskineville, which is due to open in late September.
