Fruits moves to the Beresford

After three years at Slide, Fruits in Suits is moving.
From Thursday, April 15 the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Business Association’s monthly Fruits night will be held at the Beresford Hotel from 6pm.
“Slide, its general manager Marc Kuzma and his team have been tireless supporters of the SGLBA and Fruits but unfortunately we are unable to secure Thursday nights there after our March event,” SGLBA vice-president Mark Haines said in an organisation circular.
“We will initially host Fruits in Suits in an exclusive SGLBA-only part of the hotel downstairs — either the front bar or outside, depending on the weather — and then upon completion of the upstairs function area, we will move upstairs.
“We will in fact be the first organisation to utilise the function room and it will offer us a stylish space with plenty of room to grow the event, exclusive bars and kitchen as well as our own private balcony.”
Haines said the format of the evening will remain largely unchanged: an 8pm prize draw, a complimentary drink for members on arrival and a $10 entry fee for non-members.
Lemons With A Twist will remain at Slide on the first Friday of each month. Due to Good Friday, however, Lemons will be held on Saturday, April 3.
