Heaven needs an angel

Heaven needs an angel

Go West with Beverly Buttercup

If one more person asks me whether Heaven is still going or not -“ I will scream! Yes. Heaven is still going to go on -¦ Hopefully!

We have sadly had to leave the Rosehill Bowling Club after licensing changes that meant they will now cease to trade at midnight from October. Obviously this was not suitable for Heaven and we are now looking for another venue.

When Heaven returns there will be some cast changes. Marcia, Tina, Jessika and Amanda will not be returning -¦ when the going gets tuff -¦ dump it all in Beverly’s lap!

As soon as we know more, and have some news about our current negotiations with a new club, you will all be the first to know.

If anyone out there has any ideas or is willing to help support the night please contact me, as without an angel – Heaven may not find new life.

Out West did have reason to celebrate this past month though -“ with another fabulous Pride Picnic in Parramatta Park on 21 September.

It was even bigger and better than last year with more people, more sun and more fun.

Lola del Arte and I both went in drag, and looked fabulous might I add. It’s a shame that can’t be said about the other queens -¦ an evening dress and no eye make up for day drag just don’t mix honey.

The tug of war this year went off with a bang and a bust! This time it was my turn to split a corset. Those bastards pulling me onto the ground – how rude!

Coming up on 31 October is the Halloween Out West Dance Party. Due to the success of the first, they are running a second one. Held at the Sweenys Function Centre in Ingleburn -“ it’s sure to go off like a cracker. I can’t wait to see the freaks that come out of the woodwork this time. If you’re lucky I might even go as Uncle Fester!

Queer Out West has had another cracker month with interviews including the manager of Jupiter’s Nightclub Debbie, Andrew Georgiou from Time Out Sydney, and David Imrie the New Mardi Gras Chair. So tune in Monday nights for all the continued gossip in western Sydney.

Drag gossip:
Do you know which drag queen recently started a new -˜time and motion’ diet in a bid to become western Sydney’s skinniest drag queen? Has western Sydney’s Paris Hilton gone too far this time?

Do you know which drag queen retired after just six months of performing out west before allowing herself to improve and actually learn the lyrics? Oh well. Who cares?

Until next time gorgeous!
