Local business gives back

Completely run and staffed by local members of the gay and lesbian community, Jade Services roof insulation installers, want to give even more back.
Taking advantage of recent rebates provided by the Rudd Government, business owner Brett Monaghan has vowed to donate $80 from every installation to the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation.
“I started thinking, why not do something for the community with this business?” Monaghan said.
“Why not keep as much money as we can within the community? As a friend of mine pointed out, we don’t often get all that much from the Government for the gay community, so why not if we can? It’s also a great way to support BGF.”
Donations can also be passed on to other community organisations if requested.
Bobby Goldsmith Foundation CEO Bev Lange thanked the business for their assistance.
“BGF encourages our community, both businesses and individuals, to consider how they can best support charities to continue their good works,” Lange said.
“BGF acknowledges and thanks Brett and Jon for their generous donation so we can maintain programs and assistance to people living with HIV.”
