Mardi Gras goes green

Under new legislation, it is no longer a requirement for a printed copy of New Mardi Gras’ (NMG) Annual Report to be mailed to all members, provided it is available electronically on the organisation’s website.

In keeping with this new legislation, NMG has decided to no longer send hard copies of its Annual Report to members.

The change will allow NMG to make substantial savings in printing and postage costs, while also significantly reducing the amount of paper used. Printing last year’s Annual Report consumed more than 100,000 pages, not to mention envelopes and labour.
