McCrossin a local voice for the community

Mardi Gras ’78er and broadcasting identity Julie McCrossin will join Acceptance coordinator Paul Harris to speak about GLBT history, as part of a new series of talks on Newtown life.
McCrossin and Harris will be the inaugural speakers at Local Voices, an initiative of Newtown Spirituality in the Pub, on March 9
The pair will share their personal stories as members of the gay and lesbian community, and speak on the topic of gay and lesbian hopes, dreams and challenges in contemporary Australia.
They will also speak about creating spaces for alternative voices in Australia and valuing diverse opinions.
Local Voices will continue on a weekly basis, featuring speakers on topics such as education, health, and Aboriginal issues.
