More women have something to say

Held earlier this year during the 2011 Mardi Gras festival, the first Women Say Something evening was a stand–out success.  SGLBA director Mary Shalala did the association proud joining the panelists to address issues that face our diverse communities.

The great news is the speaking series is back with a new format and in a new venue at the home of Lemons with a Twist, Slide on Oxford St.

This time there’s an opportunity to dine with the panelists before the panel discussion. Guests are welcome for both parts of the evening, or just the panel.

This exceptional panel of women will meet in the style of The View to talk, debate and ponder what really matters today across our diverse communities and the challenges that women still face in overcoming adversity.

The theme for the next installment of Women Say Something is I Do, I Don’t – it’s not just about the marriage equality debate, but about all the black, white and gray issues in our lives.

Hosted by DJ Kate Monroe, panelists include Sally McManus, Cate Faehrmann, Jackie Stricker-Phelps, Ahsa Zappa, Cleo Kerameas, Katrina Fox and Siri May.

INFO: Tickets at www.moshtix.com.au or book direct with Slide on 02 8915 1899 and avoid a booking fee. Dinner and Panel – $60 + booking fee may apply. Panel Only – $20 + booking fee may apply.
