The Pollys Club celebrated its 48th birthday at the Roundhouse this month by handing out charity funding as part of its community grants program.

Marrickville Cr Mary O’Sullivan presented $2000 to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital ward E10 West for its long term support of HIV and AIDS patients; $1500 to Creative Womyn Australia to provide basic food and shelter for homeless queer women in the Camperdown/Newtown area; and $1500 to documentary filmakers for an educational film about homophobic violence and depression in the LGBTI community.
