A vacancy exists on the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Business Association (SGLBA) board after events director James Forbes stepped down at the end of last year.
The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Business Association has over 450 members. The membership base includes gay and lesbian business owners who serve both the LGBTQI community and the wider economy.
It also includes lesbian and gay managers, business executives and professionals working across all industries. The Association welcomes all individuals and businesses who support and wish to do business with the LGBTQI community.
The Association supports and promotes a positive and dynamic environment to expand business and social networks.
The SGLBA is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified members who feel they can contribute to the work of the association. A volunteer role, the position requires the board member to attend board meetings, sub committee meetings and events run by the association.
In particular the SGLBA is looking for applicants with experience in planning and running events, seminars and conferences. It is also desirable that applicants have some experience in marketing and promotions as well as securing event sponsorship.
