Rap royalty return to Oz

Grammy award-winning hip-hop/rap group Salt n Pepa, who burst into the spotlight in the late ‘80s with their international smash hit Push It, have released details of a multi-city Australian tour, commencing in November.

In their first visit to Australia since performing at the Good Vibrations Festival in 2010, the duo will kick off at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Thursday November 24, followed by shows in Canberra on November 26, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on December 3 and the Gold Coast on December 4.

The group, whose hits also include Lets Talk About Sex, Shoop and Whatta Man, have sold over 15 million albums worldwide, were the first female rappers to receive a Grammy and 25 years into their career are still pushing it real good, having influenced the landscape of hip hop as we know it today.

They will be joined in Sydney And Melbourne by special guest, Australia’s Got Talent Finalist Timomatic.

Tickets on sale Monday August 22 via Ticketek and Moshtix.
