Sing-A-Long for the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music

IT’S that time of year again.

That time when Sydney’s State Theatre comes alive with the sound of music.

However, 2015 is a special year — it marks the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music, one of the most successful musicals of all time.

Bringing the Austrian Alps of Salzburg to the aisles of the State Theatre, Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music is back for two special shows on February 27 and 28.

Renowned for its unique musical experience whereby audience members are the star performers, the original film is on screen in all its glory up on the big screen with song subtitles so no one misses word.

Celebrity host Katrina Retallick returns for the 2015 event, leading the pre-screening vocal warm up and tips on how to use the interactive fun packs and accompanying actions.

With a little help from the audience, she will also judge the costume parade – a highlight that brings the die-hardThe Sound of Music fans front row and centre.

It’s also the perfect and rare chance to see the classic movie on the big screen.

Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music is on at the State Theatre on Friday, February 27 at 7.30 pm and Saturday, February 28 at 5 pm. Details and bookings, call 1300 139 588 or visit www.singalonga.net.
