ON the Graham Norton Show recently, X-Men stars Michael Fassbender (aka Magneto) and James McAvoy (aka Charles Xavier) discovered the world of fan fiction and art based on an idea that they were in a homosexual relationship.
Following this, Norton, with the help of Australia’s Hugh Jackman who was also on Norton’s show for the promotion of the new X-Men movie, read out extracts from written fan fiction novels of the Fassbender and McAvoy’s made-up gay love affair.
Some of the fan fiction that can be found on websites are up to 250,000 words long, with tales of the couple knitting scarves and being pregnant with twin babies while juggling their careers.
Most of the fan art and fiction portray McAvoy, the smaller of the due, as the more effeminate in the fictional relationship, and often baking.
“Wait a minute, stop everything for a minute mate… Who ever is creating this artwork, I applaud your artistry by the way, it is beautiful work.” McAvoy interrupted while being shown the art.
“But, if any one is giving… ” McAvoy smirked while raising his hand to indicate himself.
