A gay fairy tale of happily ever after

A gay fairy tale of happily ever after

MOVE over Brothers Grimm, there is a new fairy tale in town, and this time it is all about two princes who go on a quest to save a princess, but fall in love with each other, get married and live happily ever after.

Written for children author Jeffery A. Miles, during an interview with Advocate magazine he said “the lead gays are hot” and that “every gay person might want this for their coffee table?”.

The story focuses Prince Gallant, the tall, strong and handsome prince who tries to solve problems with muscles and brute force while the second prince, Prince Earnest, is a shorter and less-athletic character who solves problems with his wit and education.

While on a quest to save the princess, the pair fall in love, with their union written specifically as a romantic story for children evident through pictures of the princes holding hands and hugging rather than kissing or anything “adult like”.

The picture book, which is available in 137 countries worldwide, came from the author’s own desire as a child to meet his own prince, as at a young age knew he was never going to marry a princess and wondered why there was no fairy tale that applied to his life.

When speaking with The Advocate, Miles also mentioned that there was a second adventure already written for Earnest and Gallant, where the two  start a family raising twins: a boy and a girl.

The book is available online at Amazon.
