Garcon Garcon – EP
It’s been a long time coming, but after a good 18 months spent touring and honing their majestic dancefloor weepies, Sydney boys Garcon Garcon finally release their debut EP, appropriately titled EP, on February 14. It’s a tidy five-song collection, collating material avid fans would already have heard (the gorgeous first single Stay In Touch) alongside previously unheard surprises, such as the tongue-in-cheek rap by Cazwell in the addictive opener Hollywood Song. EP confirms that frontman Nathan Mahon and synth programmer Nick Tsirimokos are making music of the same quality as other stellar Aussie electro exports like The Presets and Cut Copy. Let’s hope they experience similar success.
