N*E*R*D – Nothing

Age 37, N*E*R*D frontman Pharrell Williams is still as hot as ever. He’d want to be, because despite being a very brief affair — at 10 tracks, it clocks in at little over half an hour — Nothing offers up only occasional musical highlights. Still, when they’re on form, N*E*R*D are unstoppable: Hypnotize U, produced by Daft Punk, is an outstanding slice of sci-fi soul, while the single Hot N’ Fun, featuring Nelly Furtado, is so addictive it’s a wonder it flopped.
