Universal Studios has come under fire for what is being called an ‘offensive’ live action show where the character Superman is sprinkled with ‘fairy dust’ by an evil witch that turns him from the man of steel to an outrageously camp gay man.

In the ‘Halloween Horror Nights’ show Superman arrives to help the characters Bill and Ted from the movie franchise Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and after being exposed to ‘fairy dust’ Superman transforms into a bad stereotype of a gay man – his voice becomes lisped, wrist goes limp and removes his shirt and trousers stripping down to a small pair of underwear and flirts with Ted.

The show continues where Superman faces his nemesis, General Zod, and he is told to ‘get on his knees’ – an order that the hero appears to take for a reference to oral sex, and squeals: ‘Finally!’

An actor playing Star Trek’s George Takei, who is gay, then chats up Superman and the pair leave the stage to have sex. Takai then turns to the audience and exclaims: ‘Time to boldly go where no man has gone before.’

The audience in the video seems to have enjoyed the show, laughing through out the below video clip. However the show has attracted criticism online as being ‘offensive of nature’ and having a negative ‘stereotypical attitude’.
