  1. I was just reading in the March edition to the Star Observer about a very interesting story about Autism and being gay, I myself do not identify as Autistic under any circumstances, however I myself do have a disability, my disability is a result of being born as a Rubella Child in 1970, I was born with a sight and hearing disability and I did have a hole in the heart, luckily that was corrected in 1978, at the time when Open Heart Surgery was not that commonly performed here in Australia at the time.

You could say I’ve been through the ringer a few times with my share of medical problems in my younger years, but I’m OK now, I’m proud to be who I am, I’m a gay guy who identifies in the non binary form of a man, what ever binary or non binary means, is up for interpretation, I for one Don’t like Men’s swimwear, I prefer female swimwear and if I could go somewhere for a swim without being judged and bullied, I would but no such place exists, so sure I still wear them in the water but sith a sun shirt over the top, I don’t mind wearing a skirt or two, but I don’t care fro makeup.

But sadly to this day in some circles of the GLBTQI Community, having a disability makes us invisible, I don’t go out that much but I did get to go to the Sportsman Hotel here in Brisbane to enjoy Balls Out Bingo, it was a lot of fun, however the big nightclubs I won’t attend because, although I don’t mind loud music, but it can be way too loud and the issues of Drinks being Spiked leaves me with a feeling, I should not go, I don’t want to become the next victim.
