Aussies help celebrate Pride weekend in the US

IF you have a spare three hours on hand, sit back, relax grab some popcorn and enjoy first ever #pridecast of the New York City 2014 Pride March.

Included in the #pridecast are interviews with NYC Pride marshals Jonathan Groff of Looking and Glee fame and Orange is the New Black’s Laverne Cox.

While in Australia there is a smaller Pride week celebration, it did not stop a few Aussies from packing their bags an making a mark on the great Pride tradition of the US.

Australia’s Courtney Act joined in the NYC celebrations with fellow RuPaul contestant Bianca Delrio.

DJ Dan Slater, who is currently on an American tour with the Papa and Forever Party circuit was also celebrating in New York.

While not in the US, DJ Kitty Glitter was in the Canadian city of Toronto as part of the Prism Festival.

Australian celebrity reporter for Southern Cross Austereo’s Scoopla Dean McCarthy seen along side YouTube blogger Davey Wavey for San Francisco’s Pride celebrations.

And he may not be as well-known as the names mentioned above, but in San Francisco Aussie singer Luke Lynch won a talent search on the parade’s main stage.

Other cities around the world who also celebrated Pride last weekend include London, Paris, Berlin and Chicago.
