Delta Goodrem pens song in support of same sex marriage

AUSTRALIAN singer Delta Goodrem has given her friends Glenn Nutley, an Australian make-up artist and Chris Garcia, an American film publicist, the ultimate wedding gift.

The couple, who married in West Hollywood in LA at the end of last year, were treated to a live performance of an original song by Goodrem and its accompanying video has gone viral on Facebook.

The song has also been applauded as one that shows support for marriage equality.

While it will not be officially released by Goodrem, footage of the wedding with the song as background music was posted to her Facebook page.

The post also came with #LoveWins, a hashtag that was widely used after the US Supreme Court’s historic same-sex marriage ruling on June 26.

Goodrem is no stranger to the LGBTI community, having voiced her support for marriage equality previously and performing in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade and after party.
