Health tips for inner [summer] lovin’

RESULTS don’t come from sitting on the couch, as we all know.

In today’s society, looking good and body image is a large part in the way we are driven. However, we should be more concerned with feeling food first.
There are a lot of short-term, quick-fix diet solutions out there but in the long run, they tend to create more problems down the track.

You may have heard people say that food is more important than the exercise itself, which I believe is true.

With this in mind, getting on top of your diet is crucial to making sure you are looking your best this summer.

Eating the right foods in smaller portions and exercising on a regular basis is the best way to achieve your fitness goals.

One way to ensure an all-round healthy, tasty and balanced diet is to consume the right fats, such as avocado and fish oil; the right sugars, which can be found in fruit; eat lots of protein, such as red meat; and foods high in fibre, like whole grains and some vegetables or fruits.

In addition, eat lots of fruit and vegetables for the antioxidants, stay away from bad fats and sugars, and try to be moderate with alcohol.

Having a healthy and happy body doesn’t just mean looking great with your clothes off, it also means having a healthy mind and soul.

This summer, try shifting your fitness goal from training activity to the kitchen and you will be amazed of the difference a healthy diet can do to your physical wellbeing. Work through your diet and change bad food with good food. Setting realistic goals for your diet is just as important as setting realistic goals for your training.

Accept the fact that we are all built differently and loving yourself comes from within. It’s very important to love yourself for who you are inside. As long as you are eating the right foods, exercising regularly and doing your very best, you will be healthy and happy. You will be strong, confident and ready to take on the world.

It’s also very important to remember to have fun. Fitness isn’t supposed to be a daunting and serious task, have fun with it.

Summer is supposed to be the best part of the year, creating awesome memories and moments so relax and enjoy your fitness routine and let’s get healthy, one jump at a time.

My fitness brand BodySkinSoul is all about feeling healthy from the inside out. I want people to feel comfortable in their bodies and to be happy within themselves.
