Mad Mex gets health conscious

Mexican fast food chain Mad Mex will launch Australia’s first interactive online nutritional calculator on December 7.

The calculator allows customers to customise meals to individual dietary requirements online – months before new regulations are introduced in New South Wales requiring certain fast food outlets to display the kilojoules contained in each menu item.

So from next week you’ll know exactly how much saturated fat, sugar and protein is hiding in that delicious burrito or taco before taking a bite.

Hopefully, it also tells you how many hours you’ll need in the gym to work it off!

This development coincides with the Mexican food chain becoming trans-fat free, as they move towards becoming a healthier dining option.

Mad Mex customers can access the calculator via their website. It’s also optimised for smart phones.
