Sydney NYE iPhone app

Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore has just announced the launch of the city’s first New Year’s Eve iPhone application.

The free app allows access to the latest event information as well as allowing the user to enter exclusive competitions and receive interactive maps showing the best spots to watch the fireworks.

Other features include transport tips and news alerts on road closures before and after midnight.

“This is an exciting addition to our already fantastic event – it will help get everyone excited for the celebrations and ensures those heading to the Harbour on December 31 have up-to-date information about where to go, what they can take and how to get there,” Moore said.
