STI check – Chlamydia when HIV negative
Chlamydia is a bacterial infection that can infect the dick & arse.
If you are a HIV negative guy with chlamydia, you are much more likely to catch HIV if you have unprotected sex with someone who is HIV positive.
Chlamydia is the most common STI in Australia, but there are things you can do to protect yourself and your sexual partners, such as;
Always wear a condom when having anal sex with casual partners;
If you are told you may have been in contact with someone with chlamydia, go to your GP or local Sexual Health Clinic and get tested and treated.
It is strongly recommended that you don’t have sex until you have got the ‘all clear’, as you may infect others or get re-infected while on treatment.
