Community Action Against Homophobia is looking for couples to take part in its mass illegal same-sex wedding on August 1.
To be staged as part of Sydney’s National Day of Action for Same-Sex Marriage, the service will be conducted by Crave MCC’s Pastor Karl Hand.
It’s time for queer people to stand up and take their future into their own hands, Hand said. My hope for NDA this year is that we will make it clear to the Rudd Government that human rights are not optional and that our community will not tolerate them being delayed.
Participants will receive an official -˜illegal’ Australian marriage certificate and can write their own vows.
info: Willing participants can register at caah.org.au/nda or email caahsydney@gmail.com
