Always remember your roots
My what a cracker of a long weekend -“ the Blue Mountains swarmed with a gaggle of girls and a herd of homos for the 27th Annual Queens Birthday Weekend.
Many came out in support of the west -“ remembering their childhood roots.
The same could sadly not be said of my co-host, who pulled out last minute due to commitments in the ghetto. How rude!
Even with a co-host down, and the withdrawal of some contestants from the talent quest, the night forged ahead and was the biggest yet! Congratulations to the Three Sisters Social Group for such a fabulous weekend.
Heaven also celebrated its first birthday with the largest crowd to date. And what an exciting night it was -“ from costume malfunctions to the full debut of Legends of Music. Thanks Judy – the costumes were finally finished.
The birthday celebration however, was not without it’s casualties. The legend herself -“ me of course -“ damaged her already tender knee, and will now be off her heels for at least a month. The distress is enough to make me vomit -“ well, silver lining -“ I might lose some more weight.
A big thank you to Ophelia Shaft who will be replacing me during my absence on July 12.
Some exciting news has also come to light -“ a new quarterly dance party will kick off on July 4 down at the Sweeny’s Function Centre in Ingleburn. With their opening night featuring The Frocks and tickets only $16, it’s sure to be a success. For more information phone 9618 5555.
And lastly, let’s not forget the antics of award winning radio show Queer Out West on 89.3fm.
With recent interviews including David Imrie (New Mardi Gras chair), Miss Man (Australia’s Got Talent) and Christy McNicol (-˜Gypsy’ showgirl extraordinaire) the show is going from strength to strength.
So, why not tune in every Monday night on 89.3fm or online at www.qow.zoomshare.com from 10pm to hear the camp interviews, latest music and all the gossip in Western Sydney.
The cast is so dedicated they even ring from overseas -“ like Maxi from Dublin and London these past two weeks.
Ok, time for some drag gossip -¦ -˜cos I know how much you love it.
Do you know which drag queen suffered another embarrassing corset busting stage entry? Is this part of the act now?
Do you know which drunken drag queen recently turned into Kung Fu Panda and slapped a patron across the face with her handbag? An interesting new dating tactic it seems.
Until next time gorgeous!

The first corset bust was due to not strong stitching, and the recent one wasnt even zipped up to begin with… anyways… it gave us a laugh… stay tuned for more corset mishaps.
