Artist attacked
A disabled gay artist has been attacked at a gay-themed art exhibition in New Dehli.
On January 5 Balbir Krishan was attacked by a man using a handkerchief to cover his face.
In the days leading up to the exhibition, Krishan had received threatening phone calls accusing him of “spreading” homosexuality and of “ruining” Hinduism.
The attacker was chased by security guards but managed to escape.
Krishan is a double amputee and walks with artificial legs.
