The community is mourning the loss of well-known and much-loved performer Vivien St James today.

After a battle with illness, life support was removed last night and Vivien passed away at the Alfred Hospital.

Vivien’s funeral will be held next Wednesday, March 11 at 2:30pm in St Kilda at a venue to be announced.

Following the service, the wake will be hosted by the Greyhound Hotel.

The Peel Hotel hosted a fundraiser in Vivien’s honour last Sunday which was supported by a host of Melbourne’s drag identities.

Vivien was tireless in her colourful contribution to community events, was part of last year’s ALSO Awards and was a regular performer at the Greyhound Hotel.
