Torchwood and Doctor Who star John Barrowman has married partner of 20 years Scott Gill following the Supreme Court’s decision last week to overturn the Proposition 8 ban on same-sex marriage.
In videos they posted online on the way to their wedding, the couple celebrated the chance to finally be able to legally marry in California.
“We’re getting married in the state of California,” said Barrowman.
“Thank you Supreme Court, about time you made it legal. See you after we have the ceremony!”
Barrowman and Gill have been together since meeting in England in 1993, and the two entered into a civil partnership in the UK in 2006.
