The Bentstix Hockey Club has started its season with a massive bang. After six rounds, they remain undefeated in the Sydney Hockey Association Grade 4 Division 1 competition, which means they’re on top of the ladder.

Coached by Keith Eaton and led by David Kyles, the team has scored more goals this year than any other team.

I’m in my fifth season now at the club and to see where we are now compared to where we were when I started is amazing, Kyles said.

We are no longer the easy beats of the competition. We have a club full of determination and pride and it is now starting to show.

The Bentstix Grade 4 Division 2 team is currently fourth on the ladder with three wins and three losses.
Seven members from the Bentstix will represent Australia in the field hockey competition at the World Outgames in Copenhagen in July.

With several players heading overseas mid-season and two players moving away from Sydney, the club is on the lookout for keen players to play up to two games a weeks. The Bentstix are also keen to taken on any new player with any skill level to broaden the team base.
