Buff up for Easter getaway

Buff up for Easter getaway

Naked Yoga Sydney is celebrating the Easter long weekend with a retreat on the Central Coast.

The getaway will provide an opportunity for men to explore different types of yoga practices and meditation techniques as well as elements of touch and massage. The retreat is recommended for newcomers to yoga.

“It will help them to know more about yoga and to develop their practice. It will also allow those with more experience to refine their technique and build their practice,” Naked Yoga Sydney founder and instructor Steve told Sydney Star Observer.

“The location of the retreat on a secluded property on the Central Coast will help heighten a sense of oneness with nature and the earth as well as providing distance and space from the pressures of daily life.

“Some will enjoy the opportunity to deepen and refine their yoga practice, some will just welcome the space that a retreat provides and some will enjoy the opportunity to spend time with a group of like-minded men.”

Naked Yoga Sydney will celebrate its fifth birthday this May. Operating in the Newtown and St Peters area, this private group runs four classes a week and caters to all abilities.

“I’m often told by the men in the class that practising without clothes on is like getting to let go of all kinds of labels that society puts on us,” Steve said.

“The classes are open to adult men of all ages and body types. It’s a wonderfully safe and supportive group where men get to grow stronger in their yoga practice, explore their bodies, overcome body image issues and build community all in one place.”
