Cher goes country
Get ready to dust off your cowboy boots, boys – Cher is planning to release a country album!
Nashville based producer Mark Bright, who has twiddled knobs for the likes of Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood, confirmed that he is about to begin work on the legendary diva’s next album.
“Cher knows that her listeners also listen to country music, so she felt it was a natural thing to develop a country music relationship,” he told Silk and Denim Music.
However, the ageless star isn’t turning her back on pop altogether.
She is also collaborating with songwriter Diane Warren, who penned You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me for the Burlesque soundtrack.
That power ballad won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song, while remixes topped the Billboard club chart.
Cher’s country opus will be her first studio album since 2001′s Living Proof.
