American pop star Adam Lambert has pushed back the release of his new album, revealing it has been delayed via Twitter.

Lambert was preparing to release his second studio album Trespassing next month, but said he will postpone its availability to work on new material.

“Yes, the album release date has been pushed back,” Lambert said on his Twitter account.

“Working on some new songs, making the album even better! Thank you all for understanding.”

The album was originally set for release on March 19.
