Alec Baldwin isn’t a homophobe, just ask his gay hairdresser

6a00d8341c730253ef019b012287bc970c-800wi-1AFTER allegedly calling a photographer a ‘cocksucking fag’ this week, Baldwin also alleged that the photographer had come to close to him, his wife and child as they where inside their car just out front of their Manhattan apartment.

It’s not the first public anti-gay slur for the former 30 Rock star –  earlier this year he allegedly called a Daily Mail reporter a ‘toxic little queen’.

According to gossip website TMZ, in response to the homophobic allegations he showcased his gay hairdresser in front of reporters in New York and playfully exchanged banter with him:

“Am I a homophobe?” Baldwin asked.

“Yes, big time,” the hairdresser jokingly replied.

In a subsequent interview with the gossip website, the hairdresser spoke further on the matter: “I don’t think he’s homophobic. I don’t at all. Whenever he is in here, we are always talking and cutting hair. He booked an appointment for today, he always does and he is a good tipper.”

Baldwin has apologised on Twitter, saying ”I apologize and will retire it [cocksucking fag] from my vocabulary‚ you learn something new every day.”

For his previous anti-gay comment, Baldwin responded by lending his support to the group GLAAD – the leading non-governmental media monitoring organisation that promotes the image of LGBTI people in the media. However, this time GLAAD denounced the actor by saying: “Mr Baldwin can’t lend his support for equality on paper, while degrading gay people in practice. It’s clearly time he listens to the calls from so many LGBT people and allies to end this pattern of anti-gay slurs.”
