Beyoncé strikes back

Not to be outdone by recent releases from Britney and Lady Gaga, Grammy award-winning triple threat Beyoncé has announced that she will have a new single out by the end of the month.

The highest-earning woman in pop held a showcase in New York recently and played six songs from her 4th studio album, which will hit stores in late June.

Sony Music Australia boss Denis Handlin was invited and raved about the tracks to the Daily Telegraph.

“It was just amazing,” he said. “She came in and played us six tracks from the album.”

“[Beyoncé] wants to do a big tour off the back of this record, which will include Australia,” Denis continued.

“These songs, the best description I can give is groundbreaking – she’s gone to another level.”

Last week, the former Destiny’s Child singer was snapped shooting the cover of the album’s soon to be released lead single.

It is expected to debut before the end of the month.
