Britney gets a stand in?

Entertainment blog TMZ is claiming that Britney required a body double to pull off the more complicated choreography in her soon-to-be-released Hold It Against Me video clip.

Insiders reveal that professional dancer Allison Kyler, best known for shaking her booty next to Christina Aguilera in Burlesque, was roped in to take over for Brit when she struggled to master the moves.

The website also alleges the Toxic singer fled the set in tears after arguing with director Jonas Åkerlund.

Britney’s spokesman was quick to deny the story and reassured fans that Britney’s dancing prowess will speak for itself.

“The accusations could not be further from the truth,” Spears’ representative told TMZ.

“Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shooting. Fans will immediately see how inaccurate these claims are once they see the video.”

Jonas also had the diva’s back, saying: “It’s all Britney.”

It sounds like a lot of fuss over nothing.

Millions of fans happily paid to see Brit mime in concert – who really cares if she got a little help busting a move in her latest clip?

A preview of Hold It Against Me is expected to hit the net later today.

Stay tuned.
