Britney performs kind of live in Las Vegas

Britney Spears came out of hiding on the weekend to perform a brief showcase in Las Vegas for an upcoming MTV special.

The notoriously unstable pop princess has been absent for most of the Femme Fatale promo campaign – preferring to rely on previews and teasers than interviews or performances – but she’s making more of an effort now the album is out.

At the Las Vegas showcase Brit sang (along to) three songs from her new album – lead single Hold It Against Me, the Ke$ha penned anthem Til The World Ends and will.i.am’s contribution Big Fat Bass.

To be honest, the whole thing looks like a bit of a trainwreck, with unflattering costumes and bad choreography but at least she’s getting out there again.

The inclusion of Big Fat Bass in the setlist is also interesting, giving rise to speculation that it could be the album’s third single.
